Our Process
Every project runs through the same six phases. No discovery theatre, no forty-page decks — just a tight loop of writing, designing, and shipping in the browser.

01 / Week 1
Brief & content audit
We start with your content, not your competitors. We map every template your site actually needs, kill the ones it doesn't, and agree what 'done' looks like.
- Template inventory
- Content model
- Success metrics
02 / Week 1–2
Type & colour system
Typography, scale, spacing, and palette get decided first and encoded straight into theme.json so design and code never drift apart.
- theme.json tokens
- Type specimen
- Palette + contrast report
03 / Week 2–4
Design in the browser
We skip high-fidelity mockups for anything past the key pages. Real markup, real content, real responsive behaviour — reviewed on a staging URL you can poke at.
- Key page designs
- Staging site
- Block pattern library
04 / Week 4–5
Build & block patterns
Templates, template parts, and a pattern library your editors can assemble pages from without ever touching a builder plugin.
- Full block theme
- Pattern library
- Editor styles
05 / Week 5–6
Audit & hardening
Lighthouse, axe, keyboard-only passes, and a real screen-reader run. We fix, re-test, and publish the numbers.
- Performance report
- WCAG 2.2 AA audit
- Cross-browser matrix
06 / Week 6+
Handover & aftercare
Written docs, a short recorded walkthrough for your team, and three months of included support while your editors settle in.
- Docs site
- Editor walkthrough
- 90 days support
Questions
Do you use page builders?
No. We build on the native block editor and theme.json. It's faster, it's supported by core, and it means you're never one plugin abandonment away from a rebuild.
Can you work with our existing content?
Yes — and we prefer to. Migrating real content early is the fastest way to find the templates a design brief forgot about.
What does a bespoke theme cost?
Most projects land between €8k and €22k depending on template count and how much pattern work your editors need. We'll give you a fixed number after the brief call.
Do you maintain themes after launch?
Three months of support is included. After that most clients move onto a light retainer for core-update testing and small design changes.
